Monumental Moments Imagining Potluck

October 15 @ 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm

The plinth that remains after the statue was removed on Aug. 16, 2017.

Now that the dust has settled and some of the white supremacist statues in Maryland have been removed, what’s next?

Join Artpartheid for the final session, a potluck on Sunday, October 15, 2:30–5 pm at 2640 St. Paul St. They will reflect on the previous three meetings and present documented ideas. Please bring food to share.

Part of a series of community dialogues scheduled in September through October, these sessions provide an opportunity to express thoughts about the monuments and the removal process. Attendees will examine the space where the monuments stood, gather information about the sites, and explore the potential for their future.

All opinions are welcome in each imagining session. Everyone deserves a chance to be heard. Dare to dream big in fellowship and meet new like-minded people who share a love for Baltimore’s vibrant history, beauty, and resilient future.

Artpartheid believes that a united community can defeat any fear, neglect or oppression, and that together we will begin to restore Baltimore to its brilliance. This series is produced in partnership with Cultural Works and USDAC & The Arch Social Club Community Network, The Living Well, and Wombwork.
