Everyone is invited to celebrate the Golden (50th!) Anniversary of Bolton Square, the award winning townhouse development designed by Hugh Newell Jacobsen, which first opened in 1967.

The celebration will take place on Saturday, October 7, with several of the town houses and their gardens open for visits from 1–3 pm, followed by a ceremony on the common and a party from 3–5 pm. Admission is $10.

Honored guests will include the award-winning architect Hugh Newell Jacobsen, who was recognized by the American Institute of Architects for his unique, mid-century modern style of townhouses built around a common, enclosed green space.

In addition to Jacobsen, the widow of developer Stanley Panitz will be attending, along with Mayor Catherine Pugh and other officials.
